Career Fair 2012 ‘Your Career, Your Choice”

Nepean High School will host our annual career fair on Thursday, May 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  This event, “Your Career, Your Choice”, is a collaborative effort of both Guidance and Co-Operative Education. Each student in the Co-operative Education Program displays their workplace exhibit as part of the career fair, and the employers are honoured at the Employer Appreciation luncheon held that day.

In addition to Carleton and Ottawa Universities, St. Francis Xavier University from Nova Scotia, and Algonquin College’s three campuses will be on hand to provide information about their programs of study.

We are proud to announce that some Westboro businesses are amongst the vast array of presenters who will offer information about different career opportunities, and these include Douglas Hardie Architect, Santosha Yoga and Solefit Orthotics.

We are also excited to welcome the Canadian Coast Guard, Canadian Royal Navy, Hot 89.9, Marketing Breakthroughs, PIP Animation, Ottawa Police Forensic Unit, R.C.M.P. and The Loft Academy to name but a few.

Students will have an opportunity to visit the career fair throughout the day with their teacher, and are encouraged to ask questions and seek information to help them on their way in life.
